Which should I choose, Invisalign or 32Co?
Both are reliable systems that we plan and monitor with the same care. Invisalign is the better-known brand with its own planning technology, while 32Co keeps costs down with pay-by-length pricing. For most people the decision comes down to budget, and we are happy to give you an honest recommendation once we have seen your teeth.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The first clear aligner consultation is free and you are under no obligation to go ahead. We will check your teeth, talk through both options and put the pricing in writing so there is nothing to work out on the spot.
Are clear aligners painful?
Most patients feel mild pressure for a day or two when they move to a new set of aligners, which is a sign they are working. Clear aligners are generally far more comfortable than traditional braces, with no wires or brackets to irritate your mouth.
Will people notice I am wearing them?
Clear aligners are virtually invisible and sit snugly over your teeth, so most people will not notice you are wearing them. They are also removable for special occasions, eating and cleaning.
How long will treatment take?
Invisalign treatment typically takes 9 to 15 months depending on how much movement is needed. With 32Co, the length is built into the price and runs from around 2 to 14 months. Once we have seen your teeth we can give you a timeline for your specific case.
Can I eat and drink normally?
Yes. Because aligners are removable, there are no dietary restrictions. You simply take them out to eat and drink anything other than water, then brush and pop them back in.
How often are check-ups?
You will usually see us every 6 to 8 weeks so we can check your progress and provide your next sets of aligners. Every case, on both systems, is overseen by our clinical team.
What happens after treatment?
Once your teeth are where you want them, you will wear retainers to hold them there. We fit these at the end of treatment and show you how to wear and care for them. We will confirm the retainer cost as part of your written quote before you start.
Can I straighten my teeth if I have crowns or veneers?
Often yes, though crowns and veneers need to be looked at individually since aligners grip the natural tooth differently. Bring it up when you come in and we will let you know where you stand.
Is finance available?
Yes. We offer 0% interest finance over 12 months, subject to status, so you can spread the cost of either treatment.
